It’s happening…it’s really happening! Wil Myers will be on his way to the Rays Tuesday, while the team, in turn, has optioned Ryan Roberts to make room on the roster. Myers has posted a .327 BA/.367 OBP/.673 SLG/1.040 OPS slash line in June, with five homers and four stolen four bases. He is expected to play pretty regularly in right.
Longoria’s plantar fasciitis led to Kelly Johnson playing third base this week. In turn, Johnson’s defense proved that Roberts was the odd man out for Myers.
Myers will wear number nine and make his debut in Boston, Tuesday. More to come!
